It's raining it's pouring...

...the old man is snoring. Well, actually he's at work, getting wet! Lol!!

So it's half term, a time when we can rejoice at not having to get up so early and spend more time with our precious little ones. Apparently. Trouble is firsty, mine all still wake at the same time, not yet grasping the concept of laying in, and secondly no matter what we choose to do it is never quite interesting enough and I am constantly plagued by endless requests for food and ignored or even worse 'back chatted' when I continuously politely request (ok, SHOUT) not to jump on the sofa as it is 'not a CLIMBING FRAME!!' I find myself feeling more exhausted and somewhat frazzled at the end of each day and wonder if I am the only parent who feels this way and does this make me a bad person?!

Today it's raining. Unfortunately yesterday we exhausted a lot of 'at home'activities (baking, drawing etc) so what to do today? I mean there's only so much Cbeebies I can take. (Although I was rather excited to see Madge Bishop on 'Justin's House' today! Small minds and all that!!) So what have I resorted to? Nursery rhymes and playdough. A truly lethal combination! Bizarrely my boys didn't attempt to eat the playdough. I on the other hand will be picking it off the bottom of my slippers for the rest of the day. That and humming 'the wheels on the bus...'. Altogether now....!
